The impression I get is that SoulPreacher really likes Black Sabbath, and I am inclined to believe that they even are somewhat influenced by bands like Eyehategod and Sleep (the Holy ones...) nothing too new in concept, but they have their own approach which really makes me cling to this record like saran wrap... The vocals are just total crust style...pissed as hell at the world and too late to do a thing about it... I dont know exactly what he (Anthony Staton) is singing, er or screaming about...but he isnt too happy. It makes me happy sometimes to hear that, you know? These guys have all the hardcore qualities of bands like Man is the Bastard, or Gun Pro...deep metal influences with lots of blues/doom riffs, just the right amount of effects..
