Accolades for Self Titled
CD reissue of the 1996 debut album by this trio from Berlin, Germany. Heavy psyched-out blues rock power with swirling sitar sounds. Includes a cover of Motrhead's "The Watcher". Contains 4 previously unreleased bonus tracks.
Johnson Noises self titled album is a 70s blues based rocker that brings to mind the psychedelic aspects of The Doors and Iron Butterfly, the garage punk attitude of the Stooges and the MC5, and the southern hillbilly-doom-rock-stomp of early Danzig. Theres a definite classic rock sense of indulgence to their songwriting. Johnson Noise show an affinity for 70s style rock and they pull it off well.
