Accolades for
High Volume (The Stoner Rock Collection)
High Volume expertly shows the bands that fall under the genres umbrella are fairly varied. From Gas Giants fuzzed out space rock, to the 70s vibe of Bad Wizard, to Orange Goblins outlaw biker metal, theres something for everyone here. Highlights include the straightforward crunch of Unidas Left Us to Mold, The Hidden Hands Falconstone, Suplecs instrumental Cities of the Dead, and Bottoms punishing NADAsoul. Corrosion of Conformity's song is a lazy Southern stomper that strips away the studio/computerized polish of Americas Volume Dealer and has the grittier vibe of Wiseblood. The material within is strong enough to make just about every track a highlight.
