True to their name, the five piece known as Backwoods Payback are swamp rock, dirty inbred music born of moonshine and hard living. Overall, it�s a sludge metal mix of Danzig, Corrosion of Conformity, and Beaten Back to Pure. I can see Backwoods Payback following the progression of Alabama Thunderpussy and growing into a formidable act. Book One could very well be their Rise Again.

Backwoods Payback sound exactly like you'd expect them to: raw, uncompromising, loud, and edgy with violence. They play mostly slow to mid-tempo distorted sludge metal with a hefty dose of punk. The dual vocalists bellow and scream over a soundtrack of basic, lumbering heaviness.
