Accolades for
God Says No

Monster Magnet has come a long way since the old days. You listen to Tab 25 or Spine of God, and then you listen to Dopes... or Powertrip and wonder what the hell happened? Well at least I do. This new album 'God Says No' reminds me of times of Dopes, and Powertrip mainly, but there is a hint of the old stuff... Spine of God, and (uh...) Superjudge... The production is slick, and the overall sound is somewhat a signature sound for these boys now-a-days... I can tell these guys apart from anyone. Very distinct sound for sure.

Somewhat spotty, but really all of the MM albums are to a degree. Dave excels the most in the mellower/ballady songwriting on this with "Queen of You", "Cry" and the title track on this record. The most rocking tune is "Medicine" which is resurrected off of the 'Spine of God' record.
