Accolades for

Monster Records

Well, if Monster Records doesn't just dig up some of the best 'lost gems' from the 70's, well they are back at it again. Cain's 'A Pound of Flesh' was originally released in '75 and really shines for its time. It's classic rock and man am I glad that Monster decided to re-issue this one. For the most part, Cain is pure classic guitar rock...their sound is somewhere between Grand Funk, Mountain and the Doobie Brothers. The classic/blues guitar sounds of the seventies just bleeds through all over this CD, and the tones are classic and unbelievable...it's just so hard to think that this has been around this long and I haven't ever heard these guys before.
