Accolades for
Since We've Become Translucent
What can I say about the latest effort 'Since We've Become Translucent'? It's more of that fuzzed out grunge rock stuff- thick tones simple blues riffs- I think the most noticeable difference is that the production is a lot fuller than Mudhoney records I have heard in the past. Their experimental opener and closer to the record makes it one of the best Mudhoney records I have heard in a while- blows away Piece of Cake and My Brother...in my opinion. Not quite on par with Superfuzz Bigmuff or the first Self Titled releases, but nonetheless still has enough garage and raw energy that makes it undeniably, pure Mudhoney.
