There aren�t too many bands out there that can make this kind of music and still sound fresh, it�s like Backdraft have reinvented the southern (hard) rock genre with this album. When listening close to this album you�ll find some of the classic southern rock elements, but there�s also some countryrock and, yes, stonerrock influences... It�s all hard 'n� heavy, with a southern groove that�ll put a smile on your face any day...

Backdraft is a mix of southern hard rock (Molly Hatchet, Skynyrd) with lots of guitar solos...blazing blues southern style...The guitar work reminds me of Hendrix or Stevie Ray Vaughn...excellent playing by all players, and the dynamics are as broad as Unsane. Cool mix of styles both classic and newer. Great CD and well worth checking into. It has a lot of different angles...hell the vocals remind me more of Danzig and Ian Astbury more than anything...Like I said, good mix of styles.
