White 2 steamrolls over you with sound, feedback, and distortion. The three tracks are not so much songs as aural landscapes, like vast plains. The first glance gives the impression of sprawling nothingness and endless repetition. In actuality, the details are abundant, but only if you look for them. The songs are so slow evolving and dense. You start White 2 and the next thing you know, close to an hour has passed, and youre definitely not the same person you once were.

Slow is a relative term. How can tempo be measured when no tempo exists? If measured in pure volume of sound moved over a time, then Sunn0))) are the fastest band on the planet. That said, if there were to be a Sunn0))) album for the masses, this is it. Touching on all aspects of the bands sound, this is an ideal first entry for a new worshipper.
