Accolades for Sky High
Sky High still has the prerequisite Bad Wizard sound itd be impossible for the group not to write ass shaking songs but its not quite as in your face as before. Its as if the band felt it had proved their point about bringing the rock better than most, and theyre now content to just write some catchy classic tunes. And catchy it is - incorporating the best of Thin Lizzy, AC/DC, Bachman Turner Overdrive, and Grand Funk Railroad into one righteous brew. With Sky High, instead of striving to capture the live sound, the band opted to focus on recording an album that sounds like it shouldve come out in 1975.
Infamous for all the right reasons, the name Bad Wizard has become synonymous with tough, tight, teetering on-the-brink-of-disaster rock n roll. For those whose definition of a good time gets a little dangerous, this band's for you. Sky High captures the band exploring new sonic dimensions while retaining the spirit of a balls-out boogie band that their fans have come to love and expect.
