I'll say it off the bat... The new Heads album "Undersided" may just be the most amazing listening experience that I've had for aeons and is arguably the finest slab of psychedelic rock music of its ilk since early Monster Magnet - IT IS THAT GOOD. Imagine if you can, a blend of Fugazi's intensity and tight musicianship, some Stooges dirt rock ala Nebula combined with the mindfuck of "Tab....25" and you'll be getting there.

'Undersided' really should be at the top of all 'heads' shopping lists. Eschewing perhaps the Sabbathery of many of our faves, this album is a stunning mix of fx-laden guitars, mental lyrics and twisted b-movie samples. Whereas the previous album was a bit like having rusty skewers thrust in your ears (this is a GOOD thing, you understand) this is more like having your brain scrubbed with psychedelic scouring pads.
