Live at Last, the first offical Black Sabbath live album featuring Ozzy before he left the band, was released in the UK in 1980. Warner Bros. operatives in the US curiously ignored it and launched 1982's Live Evil with new singer Ronnie James Dio as the band's first official live album. Soon afterward Warner Bros., now eager to put out a non-bootleg live performance with Osbourne on vocals released it in North America.
