Accolades for Sea of Tranquility
Great tunes with a tripped out groove... all of it drenched in layers upon layers of synthesizer sounds and samples... but this time theres no vocals, and from what Ive read on the 35007 webpage this is not a one off... Now we have yet another instrumental stonerrock band to add to the stable of other great bands like Karma To Burn, The Mystick Krewe Of Clearlight and Spickle that this subgenre has already spawned.
The vocals that were still present on their second full length have left and instead there's a prominent place in the music for synthesiser and sound effects, which gives it all a certain high time atmosphere. Often these kind of things overshadow the power, but not on "Sea Of tranquillity"...In short: this is a must for every space rocker
