It all started because we got tired of people complaining, "There's no more good bands left. It's crap nowadays!" Bullshit! There's tons of good bands out there, you just have to search beneath the mass marketed morass in order to find it.

So with the help of our good friends at Bully Magazine, The Music Cartel is proud to present Rebirth of the Heavy: 16 bad-ass bands who all have their own style and obliterate anything that comes within 100 yards of them.

Some are bands that have been making great music for years and just haven't been given their due, like Electric Frankenstein, Ratos De Porao, Electric Wizard and Antiseen. Others are new bands who deserve more attention than they're getting, such as Thulsa Doom, The Sabians, Grand Magus, Los Natas, and Sons of Otis.

The point here is that each has something unique about them while all share that ability to write tunes that make your jaw drop in awe.

So quit your goddamn pissing and moaning ... The Heavy has arrived.
