Zoope Loop

The first time I listened to Blind dog, it was when the compilation "Burn One Up"came out in 1997. After that, I never heard anything about this Swedish band. It was only in late 2000 that I saw in a Metorcity newsletter that Blind dog would release their first full lenght record thenext year. And I got this record in my hands. The first thing that I can say is that I'm not disappointed. The last Adventures of Captain Dog" drives you into a world full of dust and cactus, where the sun shines eternally... On the tracks "Thundergroove", "10000 Reasons" or "Coming To" you feel the groove of early Spiritual beggars. The other tracks such as "Blend", "When I'm Finally Gone", "Sun" or "Wish I Knew Which Side I'm On" remind me a bit of Natas. Blind Dog has the same natural quality to write some aerial but heavy songs. During the 13 tracks of this album, you feel the heat surrounding you (listen to the guitar effects on "Back Where I've Always Been"). Blind dog has a very warm sound that increases the heat effect. "The Last Adventures of Captain Dog" is a great a heavy rock album, and Blind Dog may be the new incarnation of "Desert Rock".
