Accolades for Through the Red
On "Through The Red" SUNRIDE continues progressing the sound they once created. The album, that was recorded and mixed in 14 days at Studio Watercastle (in Jyvskyl, Finland), has all those things that made SUNRIDE so recognizable in the past; the melodies, the rock, the energy, the groove, the slight touch of metal. It's all there. Only this time the general look is maybe a little bit gloomier than before and the whole thing is packed with a better, heavier sound. Thinking of all that as well as the intensity on this record it really doesn't come as a surprise finding out that this is a band whose original roots don't lay on Rock 'n' Roll but Death Metal. In terms of bigger bands, the groove of KYUSS, the heaviness of ENTOMBED, the rock of FU MANCHU and the melodic side of the now infamous "bad-ass" rock all rolled into one was how they wanted to sound.
