HALF MAN - The
Complete Field Guide For Cynics
Rating: 10/10
Well sometimes it happens when you simply do not wait it! Yes it is so simple!
It happened to me to hear the greatest band I have heard recently. What I am
talking about is the band "Half Man" and their debut CD.
Well those guys have stopped the clock into the 70s and they really enjoy it.
They really do not care about all those musicians who searches the bright new
music in the beginning of the new century. They just turn on the volume, drink
their beer and play their electric blues! A great mix of 70s heavy guitars and
electric blues. Great music that takes its power from the 70s but it sounds
so fresh, healthy and strong to my ears.
The production of the album is very cool and helps the songs to breathe. Mid
tempo songs full of electricity and feeling, melodic vocals and great guitar
themes, mostly based in blues and hard rocking forms. This records is worth
checking by almost everyone. All those 70s freaks who keeps on searching bands
with similar sound, all stoner rock fans who keeps on looking for great heavy
guitar riffs into the music they choose to listen, all those people who searches
for something cool and real.
Well I think I will leave you alone now and go to hear this great release once
more. Cheers!
