Accolades for Electrifying Church of the New Light
Finally available again!! The first album of 500 FT. OF PIPE, an impressive American power-trio from Detroit. Originally released in 1999 by High Clopse Music - the band's own label - ltd. to only 300 copies. After having become an instant and sought after cult item, the album is now re-issued on Beard of Stars Records with new and incredible artwork provided by the prestigious Malleus Studio.
The band has rightly been compared with hard rock giants such as Monster Magnet, Nebula, MC5, and Stooges. Not forgetting Jimi Hendrix and overall Deep Purple, because of the massive use of those colorful keyboards played by Ross Wersterbur who also is the lead vocalist.
500 FT. OF PIPE's music is powerful, super-fuzzy, acid and totally drowned in psychedelic and hypnotic atmospheres, but the band doesn't forget how to rock, magnificently merging the garage/hard rock of the late 60's/early 70's with the modern stoner sounds of today.
For this reason, "The Electrifying Church Of The New Light" is a record that will entangle the listener for a very long time, as it is for the great all times classics of the hard'n'heavy genre.
HEAVY PSYCH ACID ROCK!!
