Cooters - Cooters 2001 Woo Lord EP
Review by: Rob Wrong (StonerRock.com)
4 - song CD-R
Release date: available now

Simple rock outfit with lots of lead guitar. Very, very 70's but a lot different from the general approach alot of the Stoner Rockers are taking...
The vocals remind me of J Geils crossed with MC5, the guitar lead work reminds me of the likes of Judas Priest, what more could you ask for eh? Well, that was my first impression...
There is a Motorhead cover (Ace of Spades) which is pretty cool, and the last song Soul Food is a crazy collage of sounds that reminds me of some of the well orchestrated Mr. Bungle stuff...very progressive and good.
I hope to hear more from this mysterious band. Great knock up side the skull from a little 4 song CD-R. Check it out for it's great musicianship if anything.

Porn played with these guys on our tour... They're from Auburn, AL... Their live show is even better than the CD. Lots of energy and RAWK! Go see them if you get the chance.

As an addendum to review above I would also reference NoMeansNo and Frank Zappa. Solid AND varied ep.
