Just picked this up after weeks of agony at a record store... Let me just say that this is one of the most dominating debuts I've ever heard. There's three songs, two of which are instant doom classics. The track Godslave defines INDIAN's sound: crushingly slow, with a thick-as-fuck groove, and drumming from Thor himself. Got some sinister Italian ranting mixed in there too. The bass is fantastic, I love that Orange retro low. And then the vocals, shit, truly tortured growls/howls, Dylan has the most geneuine voice I've heard in doom. The SUNN/Orange sonic destruction is just mindblowing. Don Quixote - A 50 second instrumental that sounds like a small town being crushed by thousands of gigantic boulders. Heavy.. Dog Soldier - Maybe better than Godslave, maybe not, this track is INDIAN at their most brutal. This song feels like your being dragged by a car by your neck through rocky terrain, slowly at first, then the music comes together as the car speeds up and jagged rocks destroy your body. The drumming on this 7", and especially on this song, is out of this world heavy. This guy slays like a motherfucker, never letting up. INDIAN are the future of heavy, IMO. Their sound is extremely original, and godforsakenly brutal. I can't wait until for the debut album, when they can score some good production. You can hear like 4-5 more songs on the website, and their all fuckin badass.

'Dog Soldier' has a sort of Melvins-like riffage, but way darker and groovier.
Velcro, do you have any idea when the full-length is coming out? I'm fucking salivating...

This gets better with every listen. I realized that INDIAN moves as one staggering, stumbling machine, hacking away at your skull like a tomahawk.
I can't tell the bass from the guitar at all...it sounds like they're locked in the same groove as eachother. Dylan's screams of agony gel so well with the tone and ambience of the music, that I often have to close my eyes to pick them apart; they can almost be mistaken for some feedback-drenched guitar effect. Most of the time, though, I'm busy grooving to Brian's punishing backdrops on the skins. Put all that together, and you have the formula by which music should be played.

Brian or Ron:
Are the other tracks (Beauty Queen, Shill, Trench, Dead Weight) on the site gonna be on the album too? And are there more songs than the ones for download?

dude, 'Ration' is one of the best songs I've ever heard. It shows a somber side to INDIAN.
