"what´s your favourite modeled line6 amp sound?"

don´t wanna dicuss pods in general
(think they´re great for fucking round at home but would never use them on stage )
i´m just curious about your fave models
mine would be "british blues" (mid 60s marshall halfstack) "tweed blues" (fender 59 bassman)and the "ac30"

what´s the ugliest part of your body? Some say your nose, some say your toes - but i think it´s your mind....

Personally, rather than buying a gay amp modeler, I'd rather just play the actual amp Line 6 is (badly) trying to recreate.

they all sound dumb but the Soldano is fun.

To each their own, but, I find it repulsive to "model".

when I'm up at 2am and my girlfriend and neighbors are sleeping, and i'm still getting work done I don't really have any other choice but to model. for $200 having that kind of flexibility in direct recording is pretty fuckin sweet.

ditto skullworks. These tones are meant to be recorded, not heard live. I scoffed for a long time at modeling, but it has its place which for me at least has been in the small late night home studio.

That said I think line 6 does better with the cleaner tones than the high gain ones which tend to sound "fizzy". so yeah AC30 and Bassman are my two most usable models. AC30 if i could only have one, that would be enough. If I had to pick from the high gain models the triple rectumfrier, the soldano, the 5150 and the bogner models. The marshalls are fairly passable.

Modeling has come a long, long way. For some tracking, I use Native Instruments Guitar Rig 2. It's got so many features, it's ridiculous.

A preset I really dig is called UK in Late '77.

Burt fucking Reynolds.

I have a duoverb.. and um.. I'd say the budda model, followed closely by soldano's model.

What E9th said! I still dont really dig em, but you have to use em sometimes.
That things coming in really handy right now while tracking drums because the drummer cant play by himself or he gets lost and I have to sit in the same room with him..

I really like the Fender Bassman and the AC30 as well.. They just sound the best to me.. That Orange model is a piece of shit and sorry sounds nothing like an Orange if you ask me.

But the one model I use all the time is the same as my real amp heh. The Brit Hi-Gain, aka the 1990 JCM800..

Hell Justin Broadrick (Jesu/Godflesh) doesnt even use his JCM800 anymore.. He runs a fuckin PODXT Live into a newer solid state Marshall.. Marshall just used for amplification, tone all comes from the POD.. I dont think theres been a real amp on any Jesu release yet except maybe the very first EP.. BLASPHEMY!!!

Bowel shaking low end does not come from 10`s with aluminum cones. It comes from the Dark Lord Satan Himself - SpaceTrucker
